Little Monsters can take part in a host of fang-tastic activities across all five RHS gardens with Wicked Plant Trails, boo-rilliant family entertainment and creepy crafts
This October half-term, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) has a wicked programme of events across all five RHS Gardens to entertain little monsters of all ages.
Families can enjoy a host of boo-riliant activities from terrifying trails, insect encounters, and spooky story times. From zombie discos to creepy crafts, visitors can get stuck into frightfully good fun from 26 October – 3 November.

RHS Garden Wisley, Surrey: 26 October – 3 November
Little monsters can get stuck into creepy crafts, tricky trails, and animal encounters this half-term for a spookily good time at RHS Garden Wisley. Families who dare can take on the Wicked Plant Trail to spot ingredients for the witch’s potion and learn about toxic flowers and freaky fungi. Those looking to get into skin-crawling crafts can visit the CLORE Learning Centre for spooky creations and come face-to-face with insects and reptiles with bookable sessions from ZooLab. Performances from CBeebies Chris Jarvis and friends and mythical tree tours of Oakwood make for the perfect visit this spooky season.

RHS Garden Rosemoor, North Devon: 26 October – 3 November
Wicked plant trails, pumpkin decorating, mystical magic, and scary story time are on the cards for those brave enough to enter RHS Garden Rosemoor this October half-term. Little ones can transform a pumpkin into a monstrous creation; visit the Garden Room to create terrifying crafts and take part in the Wicked Plant Trail to learn about insect-munching carnivorous plants and perfect picks for potions. Monsters of all ages can also enjoy story time with Witch Hazel for a spine-tingeing interactive session and watch Professor Strange, The Steam Punk Magician, perform a lively and striking show.

RHS Garden Hyde Hall, Essex: 26 October – 3 November
Scary stories, spooky crafts and terrifying trails await those at RHS Garden Hyde Hall this October half-term. Visitors can discover deadly plants on the Wicked Plant Trail, a petrifying path to spot ingredients for a witch’s potion where explorers can learn all about toxic and carnivorous plants, dead man’s fingers, and fungi. For creepy creations, visitors can head to Hilltop Lodge for scarily good fun making their own crafty Halloween characters. Terrifying transformations are on the cards with Trudels Doodles face and children brave enough can follow storyteller Mike Dodsworth for a spine-chilling interactive story time.

Scarily good fun is lined up this October half-term at RHS Garden Bridgewater with a wicked plant trail, garden adventure tours, creepy crafting, and a freakily fantastic Zombie Disco. Families can learn about poisonous plants and potions on the Wicked Plants trail, create a monstrous mushroom house, and come face-to-face with fascinating insects in Zoolab workshops. For little green fingers, boo-brilliant fun is to be had with Basil planting sessions and plenty fun is to be had with Day of the Dead mask making.

RHS Garden Harlow Carr, North Yorkshire: 26 October – 3 November
Visitors are set for fang-tastic fun this October half term with a terrifyingly good programme of events at RHS Garden Harlow Carr. The whole family can get stuck in the Wicked Plant trail, meet weird and wonderful creatures with Zoolab animal encounters, and enjoy creepy Halloween crafts in the learning centre. Imaginations can run wild at Forest School drop-in sessions with outdoor workshops and crafts and a chance to play amongst the leaves. Animation workshops and storytelling magic from the Garden Detectives make for hauntingly good fun.
