Update on the threat to RHS Wisley Trees

According to recent email update from the RHS. Highways England proposed update to the M25/A3 junction will no longer threaten around 500 trees bordering the RHS Wisley garden. The petition opposing the plan championed by Alan Titchmarsh was signed by around 130,000. The RHS has thanked everyone for their support.

The redevelopment of the visitor facilities at RHS Wisley are now underway see our separate article.

RHS Wisley welcomes over one million visitors a year, open all year except for Christmas Day. The gardens cover over 200 acres and were gifted to the society in 1903. A highlight of the plan will be the opening to the public of the historic and listed laboratory building (pictured), once construction of the new facility is completed.
